Landhaus (Graz)

1557–1565 · 16th century · Also known as Graz Landhaus

The Landhaus in Graz is the seat of the Styrian estates and today of the Styrian state parliament. It was rebuilt in Renaissance style between 1557 and 1565 by the architect Domenico dell'Allio, with a celebrated arcaded courtyard. Beside it stands the Landeszeughaus, the estates' armoury, which still holds thousands of weapons and suits of armour from the wars against the Ottomans.
