Graz
Graz is the second-largest city of Austria and the capital of the state of Styria, on the Mur river. It grew around a castle hill in the Middle Ages and became the capital of Styria and, from 1564 to 1619, the seat of the Habsburg archdukes of Inner Austria, who directed the defence of the Croatian and Slavonian Military Frontier from there. Its old town and Eggenberg Palace are a World Heritage Site.
