Lex Kallio
Lex Kallio was a Finnish land law of 1922, named after the Agrarian politician Kyösti Kallio, that allowed the state to buy land and redistribute it to tenant farmers, crofters and landless rural workers. Building on the tenant-farmer law of 1918, it helped create tens of thousands of small farms and a broad class of independent smallholders, easing the rural tensions behind the Civil War.
