Mas'ud III of Ghazni

r. 1099–1115 · 12th century

Mas'ud III was a sultan of the Ghaznavid dynasty who reigned from 1099 to 1115, succeeding his father Ibrahim. His reign was a period of relative peace and prosperity, with campaigns into northern India and a stable frontier with the Seljuks, to whom the Ghaznavids were linked by marriage. Building works at Ghazni, including a palace, date from his reign.
