Molyvos

Also known as Mithymna

Molyvos, officially Mithymna, is a small town on the northern coast of the Greek island of Lesbos, on the site of the ancient city of Methymna. Built on a hillside below a medieval castle that was held by the Genoese Gattilusi lords and then by the Ottomans, it is known for its stone houses and harbour. It is now one of the main tourist centres of the island.
