Monterado
Monterado is a town in Bengkayang Regency, West Kalimantan, Indonesia, inland from Singkawang. In the 18th and 19th centuries it was a centre of Chinese gold mining in western Borneo and the seat of the Heshun federation of mining kongsis, dominated by the Dagang kongsi, until the Dutch dissolved it in the Kongsi Wars of 1850–1854.
