Morbihan
Morbihan is a department of Brittany in north-western France, with its prefecture at Vannes, named after the Gulf of Morbihan, Breton for 'little sea'. The gulf is an inland sea dotted with islands, opening to the Atlantic through a narrow channel. The department is famous for its prehistoric monuments, including the stone alignments of Carnac, and was the land of the Gallic Veneti.
