Moulins
Moulins is a town on the Allier river in central France, capital of the Allier department. It was the seat of the dukes of Bourbon from the 14th century, and their court made it a centre of the arts; its cathedral holds the triptych of the Master of Moulins, painted around 1500. After the treason of the Constable of Bourbon in 1523, the duchy was confiscated and joined to the French crown.
