Moulouya River

Also known as Mulucha

The Moulouya is a river of north-eastern Morocco, about 520 kilometres long, that rises in the Middle Atlas and flows north into the Mediterranean near the Algerian border. In antiquity, as the Mulucha, it formed the border between the kingdoms of Mauretania and Numidia, and later between the Roman provinces of Mauretania Tingitana and Mauretania Caesariensis.
