Mount Algidus
Mount Algidus (Algidus Mons) is the eastern ridge of the Alban Hills south-east of Rome, crossed by the pass between the Latin plain and the valleys of the interior. In the 5th century BCE the Aequi used it repeatedly to raid Latium, and Roman tradition set several battles there, including the victory of Cincinnatus over the Aequi in 458 BCE.
