Munza
Munza was a king of the Mangbetu in the Uele region of north-eastern Congo. The German explorer Georg Schweinfurth visited his court in 1870 and described its great hall, music, ironwork and ivory in vivid detail. Munza was killed in 1873 in fighting with Nubian traders from the Sudan and their local allies, and his kingdom broke apart.
