Neubrandenburg

Neubrandenburg is a city in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany, on Lake Tollense. It was founded in 1248 by the margraves of Brandenburg and passed to Mecklenburg around 1300 with the Lordship of Stargard. Its medieval wall with four brick Gothic gates, among them the Treptow Gate and the Stargard Gate, is one of the best preserved in Germany.
