Penmon Priory
Penmon Priory is a religious site at the eastern tip of Anglesey, traditionally founded in the sixth century by Saint Seiriol. It was one of the important early churches of Gwynedd, and in the thirteenth century it was reorganised as a house of Augustinian canons under the patronage of Llywelyn the Great. Its twelfth-century church, a holy well and a later dovecote survive.
