People's Party (Dalmatia)
The People's Party was a political party in the Austrian Kingdom of Dalmatia, founded in the 1860s, that sought Dalmatia's union with Croatia-Slavonia and the use of Croatian in public life. Opposed by the Italian-speaking Autonomist Party, it won control of the Dalmatian diet in 1870 and of most towns in the following years, including Split in 1882, and was later renamed the Croatian People's Party.
