Pisco River
The Pisco River rises in the Andes of Huancavelica and flows west to the Pacific near the port of Pisco in southern Peru. Its irrigated valley supported the Paracas culture and later held the Inca administrative centre of Tambo Colorado. The town gave its name to pisco, the grape brandy produced in the region since colonial times.
