Colorado

Colorado is a state of the western United States, crossed by the Rocky Mountains and the high plains to their east. Its eastern plains were part of the hunting lands of the Comanche, Cheyenne and Arapaho before American settlement. The Pike's Peak gold rush of 1858–1859 brought miners and towns such as Denver, and Colorado became the 38th state in 1876.
