Privy Council of Ireland
The Privy Council of Ireland was the body of senior officials and nobles that advised the lord deputy or lord lieutenant in governing Ireland. Under Poynings' Law it shared with the English council control over which bills could be put before the Irish Parliament. It survived the Act of Union and was abolished after the creation of the Irish Free State in 1922.
