Pskov Krom
The Pskov Krom is the medieval citadel of Pskov in north-western Russia, standing on a rocky promontory where the Pskova River flows into the Velikaya. Its stone walls enclosed the Trinity Cathedral and the square where the veche assembly of the Pskov Republic met. It was the core of the city's defences against Livonian, Lithuanian and Polish attacks.
