19th century · 19th century · Also known as Puro Pakualaman

The Pura Pakualaman is the palace of the Paku Alam princes in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, built in the 19th century after the founding of the house in 1813. Smaller than the sultan's kraton, it has a pendopo pavilion, a library of Javanese manuscripts and a museum, and it is still the residence of the Paku Alam, who serves as vice-governor of Yogyakarta.
