Ramagrama
Ramagrama was the main town of the Koliyas, a clan republic of the Buddha's time in the foothills of present-day Nepal. Buddhist texts say the Koliyas received a share of the Buddha's relics and built a stupa there, which according to legend was the only original relic stupa that the emperor Ashoka left unopened. A large brick mound in the Nawalparasi district of Nepal is identified as this stupa.
