River Great Ouse
The River Great Ouse is a river in eastern England, about 230 km long, flowing from Northamptonshire through Bedford, Huntingdon and Ely to the Wash at King's Lynn. The treaty of around 886 between Alfred the Great and Guthrum used it as part of the boundary between English and Danish territory. Its course through the Fens has been heavily drained and engineered.
