Sadducees
The Sadducees were a Jewish party of the Second Temple period, linked with the priestly aristocracy that controlled the Temple in Jerusalem from the 2nd century BCE. They accepted only the written Torah, rejected the oral tradition of the Pharisees and denied the resurrection of the dead. The group disappeared after the Romans destroyed the Temple in 70 CE.
