Sahib I Giray
Sahib I Giray was khan of Kazan from 1521 to 1524 and khan of Crimea from 1532 to 1551. Installed in Crimea with Ottoman support, he used Ottoman troops and firearms to strengthen the khan's power over the great clans and built up Bakhchysarai as his capital, with its palace. He was deposed and killed in 1551 when the Ottomans replaced him with Devlet I Giray.
