Sangrama Vijayatunggavarman

fl. 1025 · 11th century · Also known as Sangrama Vijayottungavarman

Sangrama Vijayatunggavarman was a ruler of Srivijaya in the early eleventh century, known from the Tanjore inscription of the Chola king Rajendra Chola I. When Rajendra's fleet raided Srivijaya and its ports, including Kadaram (Kedah), in 1025, the king was taken captive together with his treasure. The raid weakened Srivijaya's control of the Malacca Strait trade.
