Serbo-Bulgarian War
The Serbo-Bulgarian War was fought in November 1885 after Serbia attacked Bulgaria in protest against the union of Bulgaria with Eastern Rumelia. The young Bulgarian army defeated the Serbs at Slivnitsa and advanced to Pirot before Austro-Hungarian pressure halted it. The Treaty of Bucharest of 1886 restored the prewar border, and the union was internationally accepted.
