Sergio Mattarella
Sergio Mattarella is an Italian politician and jurist from Sicily who has been president of the Italian Republic since 2015, re-elected in 2022. A Christian Democrat, he entered politics after his brother Piersanti was murdered by the Mafia in 1980, served as a minister and later as a judge of the Constitutional Court.
