Siling Vandals

Also known as Silings

The Siling Vandals were one of the two main branches of the Vandals, whose name may survive in that of Silesia. In 409 they crossed the Pyrenees with the Hasding Vandals, Alans and Suebi and settled in Baetica. Between 416 and 418 the Visigoths, fighting for Rome, all but destroyed them, and the survivors joined the Hasdings, who later crossed to Africa.
