Sosevur

Also known as Angadi

Sosevur, modern Angadi in Chikkamagaluru district, Karnataka, India, was the earliest seat of the Hoysala dynasty. Dynastic legend places there the story of the founder Sala, who killed a tiger at the command of a Jain teacher, a scene that became the royal emblem. The Hoysalas later ruled from Belur and Dwarasamudra.
