St. Thomas Church, Leipzig

Also known as Thomaskirche

St Thomas Church in Leipzig is a late Gothic Lutheran church, home of the Thomanerchor boys' choir founded in 1212. Johann Sebastian Bach was its cantor from 1723 until his death in 1750, and his remains have rested in the church since 1950. Martin Luther preached there in 1539, when the Reformation was introduced in Leipzig.
