Te Deum

4th century; traditionally before AD 500 · 4th century

The Te Deum is a Latin Christian hymn of praise, named from its opening words. Tradition ascribes it to Saint Ambrose (died 397) or Saint Augustine (died 430), and it is sometimes called the Ambrosian Hymn, though Ambrose's authorship is unlikely.
