The Skye Boat Song
"The Skye Boat Song" (Roud 3772) is a late 19th-century Scottish song made from a Gaelic song composed around 1782 by William Ross, Cuachag nan Craobh ("The Cuckoo in the Grove"), in which the poet laments to a cuckoo that Lady Marion Ross, whom he loves, is rejecting him.
