Thérouanne
Thérouanne is a village in the Pas-de-Calais in northern France, on the site of Tarvenna, the Roman capital of the Morini. It became the seat of a large bishopric in the early Middle Ages and grew into a fortified town on the border between France and the Habsburg Netherlands. In 1553 Emperor Charles V captured it and razed it to the ground, and its diocese was divided.
