Tiz

Also known as Tis

Tiz was a medieval port on the Makran coast of south-eastern Iran, near modern Chabahar. From the 10th to the 13th century it served as a harbour for ships trading between the Persian Gulf, India and East Africa, linked by caravan routes to Kerman and Khurasan. Its ruins lie by the modern village of Tis.
