Trim, County Meath

Trim is a town on the River Boyne in County Meath, Ireland. Hugh de Lacy made it the centre of his Lordship of Meath after 1172, and Trim Castle, begun by him and completed by his son Walter, is the largest Anglo-Norman castle in Ireland. The town later became the seat of a liberty and hosted several sittings of the medieval Irish parliament.
