Trzebnica

Also known as Trebnitz

Trzebnica is a town in Lower Silesia, Poland, north of Wrocław. In 1202 Duke Henry the Bearded and his wife Hedwig founded a Cistercian convent of nuns there. Hedwig lived her last years at the convent and was buried in its church, which became a major pilgrimage site after her canonisation in 1267.
