Tvrtko I of Bosnia
Tvrtko I of Bosnia, of the Kotromanić dynasty, ruled Bosnia as ban from 1353 and in 1377 was crowned king at Mile, claiming the Serbian crown through descent from the Nemanjić dynasty. He extended his rule over western Serbia, Zachlumia and much of the Dalmatian coast, making Bosnia briefly the strongest state in the western Balkans. His kingdom weakened soon after his death.
