Tyana
Tyana was an ancient city of southern Cappadocia in central Anatolia, at modern Kemerhisar near Niğde. Known to the Hittites as Tuwanuwa, it was the capital of the Neo-Hittite kingdom of Tuwana in the 8th century BCE. In Roman times it was a prosperous city on the road to the Cilician Gates, birthplace of the philosopher Apollonius of Tyana, and remains of its Roman aqueduct still stand.
