Ubud
Ubud is a town in Gianyar regency in the uplands of central Bali, Indonesia. It was the seat of a princely family subordinate to the kingdom of Gianyar, whose palace still stands at its centre. From the 1930s, when foreign artists such as Walter Spies settled there, it became a centre of Balinese painting, dance and crafts.
