Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz al-Habbari
Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz al-Habbari was the founder of the Habbari dynasty of Sindh. From an Arab family settled in the province since the conquest, he made himself ruler around 854 at al-Mansura, the provincial capital, as Abbasid authority weakened, while continuing to recognise the caliph. His descendants governed lower Sindh as a hereditary emirate until Mahmud of Ghazni ended their rule in the early 11th century.
