Sindh
Sindh is a province of south-eastern Pakistan on the lower course of the Indus River, with its capital at Karachi. It was a centre of the Indus Valley Civilisation, whose city of Mohenjo-daro lies there. Arab forces under Muhammad ibn al-Qasim conquered it in 711 and 712, and later it was ruled by local dynasties, the Mughals, the Talpurs and, from 1843, the British.
