Karachi
Karachi is the largest city of Pakistan and the capital of Sindh province, on the Arabian Sea coast near the Indus delta. A small trading town in the 18th century, it grew under British rule from 1843 into a major port. It was the first capital of Pakistan from 1947 until the government moved north in 1959, and it remains the country's main commercial and financial centre.
