Umayyad conquest of Sind
The Umayyad conquest of Sind was the campaign of 711 CE in which forces led by Muhammad ibn Qasim conquered Sind, in the lower Indus valley in present-day Pakistan. It brought the region under the Umayyad Caliphate and marked the eastern limit of early Arab expansion into South Asia. Accounts of the Umayyad Caliphate treat it as part of the empire's simultaneous expansion at both ends of its realm.
