Urzana was king of Musasir, a small mountain state between Assyria and Urartu famous for the temple of the god Haldi. His letters to Sargon II of Assyria survive. During Sargon's eighth campaign in 714 BCE he fled, and the Assyrians sacked his city and temple, carrying off a vast treasure recorded in Sargon's account and shown on a relief at Khorsabad.
