Person
Urus Khan
Urus Khan was a Jochid ruler of the White Horde, in the eastern part of the Golden Horde, from about 1368 until his death in 1377. He sought to reunite the Golden Horde and briefly held its capital Sarai, but was challenged by Tokhtamysh, who was backed by Timur. His descendants Kerei and Janibek founded the Kazakh Khanate around 1465, and later Kazakh khans traced their line to him.
