Person
Vijayabahu VI
Vijayabahu VI was king of Kotte in Sri Lanka from 1513 to 1521. When he tried to name a younger son as heir, his three elder sons rebelled and had him killed in 1521, an event known as the Vijayaba Kollaya, the 'plunder of Vijayaba'. His kingdom was then divided among them into Kotte, Sitawaka and Raigama, weakening the island against the Portuguese.
