Warwick

Warwick is the county town of Warwickshire in the English Midlands, on the River Avon. Æthelflæd, Lady of the Mercians, fortified it as a burh in 914 against the Danes, and William the Conqueror built a castle there in 1068. Warwick Castle became the seat of the powerful earls of Warwick and is one of the best-known medieval castles in England.
