Yax Pasaj Chan Yopaat
Yax Pasaj Chan Yopaat was the sixteenth ruler of the Maya city of Copán, in present-day Honduras, who took the throne in 763. He commissioned Altar Q, which portrays all sixteen kings of the dynasty and shows the founder, K'inich Yax K'uk' Mo', handing him authority. His reign coincided with overpopulation and deforestation in the valley, and royal rule at Copán collapsed soon after his death.
