Yeta III
Yeta III was Litunga, king of the Lozi of Barotseland, from 1916 to 1945, succeeding his father Lewanika. Educated by missionaries, he tried to defend Barotseland's rights under British rule, petitioning the British government over the concessions and attending the coronation of George VI in 1937. A stroke in 1939 left him unable to rule, and he abdicated in 1945.
