Zun
Zun was a god worshipped in southern Afghanistan before and during the early Islamic period, at a famous shrine at Zamindawar in the upper Helmand valley. Arab writers describe a golden idol with ruby eyes; the cult may have links to sun worship or to Hindu deities. The title of the Zunbil kings, who long resisted the Arabs, is often connected with his name.
