Allegany Reservation
The Allegany Reservation is a territory of the Seneca Nation of Indians along the Allegheny River in western New York. Together with Cattaraugus it formed the Seneca Nation's elected government in 1848. In the 1960s the Kinzua Dam flooded about 10,000 acres of its land, forcing hundreds of Seneca to move.
